New Delhi [India], June 5 (ANI): Congress MP Manish Tewari, member of Group 7 of the all-party delegation led by NCP-SCP MP Supriya Sule, arrived at Delhi airport following a “constructive” and “productive” trip to key global capitals, including South Africa as part of Modi government’s big diplomatic outreach following operation Sindoor.
Speaking to reporters, Tewari said that the all-party delegation presented India’s point of view that Pakistan is the “epicentre of instability and terror”.
He said, “It was a constructive and productive trip across Qatar, South Africa, Ethiopia and Egypt. We presented India’s point of view that Pakistan is the epicentre of instability and terror, not only in South Asia but all over the world. Our interlocutors were very receptive because Pakistan’s role in fermenting terror, using terror as an instrumental state policy, is very profoundly and exhaustively documented.”
He further said that the visit provided a boost to the efforts to create a global coalition against state-sponsored terror.
“Under those circumstances, the endeavour to create a global coalition against state sponsored terror has got a very big fillip as a consequence of this visit and we do hope that Government of India would follow up on this initiative and reach out to all the interlocutors that we have spoken to and take this idea ofisolating Pakistan internationally as well as all those states which use terror as an instrument to state policy…”
The all-party delegation led by Supriya Sule also includes Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Vikramjeet Singh Sahney, Manish Tewari, Anurag Singh Thakur, Lavu Sri Krishna devarayalu, Anand Sharma, former Minister of Commerce & Industry, V Muraleedharan, Former Minister of State for External Affairs, and Syed Akbaruddin, Former Permanent Representative of India to the UN.
The delegation aims to brief international partners on India’s response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and its broader fight against cross-border terrorism while engaging with leaders in key countries.
The multi-party delegation, consisting of seven groups led by one MP each, has been initiated to counter global misinformation and highlight India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism. (ANI)
